2010 Workshops

The Usual Suspects

Please find below the wool sanctuary workshops for 2010.  I hope that you can make it along to one of them. All workshops run from 10.30-4pm with the exception of the Charity Blanket Workshop that will run from 9-5.30pm.

You can now book workshops on line, just click on the link for the particular workshop you are interested in just above the description of that workshop.

Due to the nature of how my shopping basket is set up you will be charged, what appears to be postage making the total you pay £45.03 (£41.69 + postage). I have been pulling my hair out trying to fix this but can't at the moment. You will, of course, be given a 3p refund on the day. Please e-mail me if you need any additional information on any of the workshops.

Finishing Off Workshop

This workshop is for anyone who when they have finished knitting puts their knitting away and hopes it will put itself together. After this workshop they will look forward to finishing off -I promise. I used to have the same problem until I went to work in the Design room at the Rowan mill. I was shown by Kathleen Hargreaves, Kim Hargreaves, Louisa Harding etc. the best ways to finish off garments and now no longer dread, or give to my mum my garments to finish.

I  will show you the best methods of blocking out, best stitches for sewing up, the best way to pick up stitches, grafting. Along with finishing techniques this workshop will give the knitter a number of 'Knitting Tips' that will help them with their knitting.

There will be free hot and cold refreshments and lunch on the day- please advise of any dietary requirements. All materials on the day will be provided.

The aim of this workshop is to knit a Christmas stocking that you can give to a loved one to hang on their mantle piece for Father Christmas to fill with goodies.

Terms & Conditions

Workshop places can only be reserved on receipt of full payment. Knitters who cannot make it to a workshop can send another person in their place if they wish. Unfortunately no refunds can be offered for workshops paid for. Unfortunately knitters cannot swap their workshop for another workshop once booked as this often results in an empty place that cannot be sold. If for any reason I have to postpone the workshop then an alternative place on another course will be offered or a full refund.
