Teapot- teacosy

The publishers came to see me on Friday, it is full steam ahead with my book. I have to have all my designs (20 in all) knitted for October 2011. Taking into account holidays, I worked it out as one design a week, that is designed AND knitted, it is going to be tight but I am confident I can do it, I have so many designs going round in my head just need to get them out of my head and turn them into reality, it is so exciting.

Blanket 1 2009

I can't believe it is February already. Ok, here is the news. I still have places left for Knit School ona Monday night. If you would like to learn a knitting technique in a small group on a Monday night then Knit School is for you. I have places left on most classes so please either book on line or give me a call or drop me an e-mail to chat about your knitting needs. It would be lovely to meet you.

The Finishing Off workshop is taking place on the 6th February, the workshop is full but I will be running it again later in the year, please check my Workshop page for more detail. My beach hut Draught Excluder is nearly ready to be unleashed on the knitting public. I am getting a bit addicted to knitting them, there are five in the final design, and you can either purchase the whole thing in a kit or the huts individually as they can be used as door stops on their own, or just cuddly beach huts, everyone should have one. I will be at Monkton Elm Garden Centre on the 27th February demonstrating how to make my lavender bag. I think there might be places still available so please come along if you wish. Ok just off for a cup of tea and a tunnocks tea cake. Don't forget to look out for the Beach Hut Draught Excluder.

Workshops- The 2010 workshops are now listed on the Workshop page, believe it or not. I hope there is something in there for everyone. Each workshop is never the same anyway. Please take some time to have a look at the timetable and if you have any questions about any of the workshops then please let me know.

Knit Club- Knit Club is going to be one Saturday of every month this year, if the first one is anything to go by then I am going to be very busy at these meetings, it is a great opportunity for knitters to meet up and share with others what they are knitting. I am always looking for new members so if you would like to come along then please e-mail me and I will add you onto the Knit Club mailing list. My ladies are very welcoming, please come and find out for yourself.

Knit School- The Knit Club Winter term starts in February, I still have places left on most of the classes so if you would like to learn a technique and cannot spare a day but 2 hours on a Monday night then please do get in touch. I love teaching Knit School, it is something to look forward to after work.

Kirstie's Homemade Home will be starting in the middle of April, exact date to be confirmed. The Wool Sanctuary will be featured in the second programme on the living room, I think. I have nearly finished the draught excluder.

Something really nice happened too. I was asked to knit a sign that resulted in me knitting the titles too they will be seen every week, this is like a dream- don't want to wake-up. More pictures on here once the show has aired.
